Funny Women Amsterdam is part of a bigger organisation called Funny Women in the UK. Founded in 2002 by Lynne Parker, Funny Women has been at the forefront of supporting and nurturing female comedy talent globally. Known for its annual Funny Women Awards, this UK-based organisation is dedicated to helping women in comedy make their voices heard. It's me, Roxy, a comedy nerd and a music lover. I'm half Spanish and half English, and I live in Amsterdam, Oost, with Alex and our labradoodle, Micey. I've been organising Funny Women Amsterdam since 2019 when more than one female comedian on the lineup was a rarity (it still can be). What kept me going was putting more and more women on stage and giving them a safe space to perform, especially for the first time.

I do the artwork, playlists, events, photography, marketing, socials, chairs, tickets, and even pick up glasses at the end of the show. I also made this website!
